Movie Review Roundup

Resident Evil: Afterlife   –   3.5  /  5

This is the fourth installment in the franchise and is a much improved film.

The Last Exorcism    –   2.5   /   5

The Last Exorcism suffers from a lazy and uninspired finale that kills the entire film.

Salt    –    3   /   5

Salt is salvaged by a quite interesting set up and a flawless lead actor.

The Switch    –   3.5   /   5

“The Switch” is often very funny and filled with very believable performances but its held back by an initially awkward set up.

Twilight Eclipse     –   3   /   5

Although I’m still not won over by it yet, I must admit the newest film is a welcomed improvement.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World    –   3   /  5

Unlike anything you’ll see all year and that’s both a blessing and a curse.

 Vampires Suck   –   0  /  5

I can say I laughed once for about one second and I can’t even remember what got this laugh from me.

The Other Guys     –   2.5  /   5

“The Other Guys” has about three good scenes but too many bad scenes.

Dinner for Schmucks    –    3.5   /  5

As an audience member I thought the film makers were more cool than schmucky.

About Steven Mc Brearty

I like music (anything that rocks and has a nice melody) and movies (I'm a movie nut).
